अब मोय नाम सुमरण रट लागी, माया दूर झट भागी।
श्वासों-श्वास में जप चाले है, मेरी किस्मत जागी॥ टेर ॥

आठ पहर आनन्द घन बरसे, मिथ्या ममता त्यागी।
मन में मस्त भया मतवाला, हुआ मैं अचल बैरागी॥१॥

तृप्त भया तृष्णा कुछ नहीं, जन्म जन्म की मुख मांगी।
जग के स्वाद सब फीका लागे, ब्रह्मानन्द अनुरागी॥२॥

दुनिया का सुख मान भोग में, रच्यो पच्यो अभागी।
आखिर दुख पछतावा होसी, भयो नरक को भागी॥३॥

जिनको पूरा सतगुरु मिलिया, पद पायो बड़ भागी।
पूरा गुरु बिना अन्धा भटके, माया नहीं होवे आगी॥४॥

श्री पूज्य दीप दयालु दाता, सैन बताई सागी।
माधवानन्द आनन्द भया, झिलमिल ज्योति जागी॥५॥

राग आसावरी (Rāga Āsāvarī) is a classical raga in Hindustani music. It belongs to the Asavari Thaat and is known for its melancholic and serious mood. Here are some key features of Rāga Āsāvarī:

Translation

1. अब मोय नाम सुमरण रट लागी, माया दूर झट भागी।

2. Ab moy nām sumaraṇ raṭ lāgī, māyā dūr jhaṭ bhāgī.

3. Sentence-level translation: I am engrossed in remembering the divine name; illusion has instantly fled.

4. Deeper explanation: Holy Guruji expresses a profound transformation in which the divine name's continuous remembrance (or chanting) takes over one's mind, resulting in the quick departure of worldly illusions and attachments.

4. Deeper explanation: The constant chanting of the divine name with each breath signifies deep spiritual practice, leading to the awakening of one's fortune or destiny, implying spiritual enlightenment and transformation.

1. मन में मस्त भया मतवाला, हुआ मैं अचल बैरागी॥१॥

2. Man meṃ mast bhayā matvālā, huā maiṃ acal bairāgī.

3. Sentence-level translation: My mind has become blissful and intoxicated, and I have become a steadfast renunciant.

4. Deeper explanation: Holy Guruji describes a state of spiritual ecstasy where the mind is filled with joy and a sense of divine intoxication. This leads to becoming a firm renunciant, detached from worldly concerns.

1. तृप्त भया तृष्णा कुछ नहीं, जन्म जन्म की मुख मांगी।

3. Sentence-level translation: I am satisfied, with no desires left, asking for liberation from the cycle of birth and death.

4. Deeper explanation: Holy Guruji has reached a state of contentment with no remaining desires and now seeks liberation (moksha) from the continuous cycle of rebirth.

1. आखिर दुख पछतावा होसी, भयो नरक को भागी॥३॥

2. Ākhir dukh pachtāvā hosī, bhayo narak ko bhāgī.

3. Sentence-level translation: In the end, there will be sorrow and regret as one becomes a partaker of hell.

4. Deeper explanation: Holy Guruji warns that indulging in worldly pleasures and pride will ultimately lead to sorrow, regret, and suffering, akin to experiencing hellish conditions. Or even going to hell after death. In Indian religion, there are 27 types of hell which one experiences according to one’s deeds. Hell is not eternal like in the Christian faith, but temporary. If somebody did evil deeds, one even has to wait a long time to get to hell to go through it.

Complete translation - अ‍नुवाद

अब मोय नाम सुमरण रट लागी, माया दूर झट भागी।

अब मैं गुरु का नाम सुमरण करता हूँ और माया तुरंत भाग गई।

Now I continuously repeat Thy Name and Maya, illusion runs away in the second.

श्वासों-श्वास में जप चाले है मेरी किस्मत जागी॥ टेर ॥

आपका नाम, मंत्र चलता है हर श्वास के साथ, जिससे मेरी किस्मत जाग गयी

With every breath I repeat Thy Name and my luck is waking up.

आठ पहर आनन्द घन बरसे, मिथ्या ममता त्यागी।

हर समय(दिन-रात) खुशी बनी रहती है और झूठी मोह त्याग दिया है 

The whole day (all 8 parts of the day) is filled with happiness and false attachment is gone.

मन में मस्त भया मतवाला, हुआ मैं अचल बैरागी॥१॥

मन में प्रसन्नता रहती है , अब मैं एक जगह स्थिर हूँ 

My mind is happy, I became steadfast vairagi.

तृप्त भया तृष्णा कुछ नहीं, जन्म जन्म की मुख मांगी।

मुख मांगी अर्थात मुंह से जो कुछ मांग की,  उसकी पूर्ति हो गई, मन तृप्त हो गया। इसे यूं भी कहा जाता है कि मन की मुरादें पूरी हो गई

Whatever I asked for, from life to life, I got. I am satisfied, I have no more desires.

जगके स्वाद सब फीका लागे, ब्रह्मानन्द अनुरागी॥२॥

संसार में कुछ भी मन को अच्छा नहीं लगता,अब आनंद में हूँ

Everything in this world is tasteless, I am in the highest bliss.

दुनिया का सुख मान भोग में, रच्यो पच्यो अभागी।

हाय, यह जीव कैसा मूढ़, मूर्ख और अज्ञानी है, जो संसारी मान सम्मान और सूख भोग में रच पच गया है, अर्थात इसे अंतिम समझ कर भ्रमित हो गया है

The poor/unlucky one is engrossed in this world searching for happiness and respect.

आखिर दुख पछतावा होसी, भयो नरक को भागी॥३॥

अंत मे दुख और पछ्तावा होगा, और नरक में ही जाना पडेगा

At the end the one regrets all, taking the part in hell.

जिनको पूरा सतगुरु मिलिया, पद पायो बड़ भागी।

जिसको भी सतगुरु का आशीर्वाद मिला,उसकी किस्मत चमक गयी

Very lucky is the one who found a perfect sataguru. He achieved the highest post.

पूरा गुरु बिना अन्धा भटके, माया नहीं होवे आगी॥४॥

और बिना गुरु के वो अंधे व्यक्ति की तरह भटक रहा है और लालच दूर नही हो रहा है

Without the perfect guru one roams blindly and cannot get rid of greed.

श्री पूज्य दीप दयालु दाता, सैन बताई सागी।

भगवान श्री दीप नारायण जी ने सबको अपने लोगो को बताया

Respected Mahaprabhuji, merciful giver, shows the true/real way

माधवानन्द आनन्द भया, झिलमिल ज्योति जागी॥५॥

श्री माधवानंद जी खुश होकर,दीपक की तरह चमक रहे हैं  

Sri Madhavananda achieved bliss, and bright blinking light woke up in him.
