Professor Gopinath Pareek delivered an enlightening lecture on Daiva Vyapashraya Chikitsa as described in the Charak Samhita. His talk delved into the ancient Ayurvedic concepts, shedding light on the significance and application of this unique treatment approach.

Daiva Vyapashraya Chikitsa (दैवव्यपाश्रया चिकित्सा) is a unique concept in Ayurveda. It refers to a treatment approach that includes various methods such as chanting mantras (sacred hymns), wearing gemstones, offering prayers in specific ways, and other similar practices aimed at promoting health and well-being. These methods are grouped separately from conventional pharmacological treatments because the mechanisms by which they work to heal illnesses are beyond the comprehension of the average person. Additionally, these practices are believed to influence one's Daiva (the effects of past life deeds/karma), which is why this approach is known as Daiva Vyapashraya Chikitsa.
