The arrival of Ayurveda in India

Professor Banwari Lal Gaur

In this lecture, Dr. Banwari Lal Gaur describes the origins of Ayurveda and its introduction to India. According to tradition, Lord Brahma recalled the knowledge of Ayurveda and imparted it to Prajapati. Prajapati, in turn, passed this knowledge to the Ashwini Kumaras. The Ashwini Kumaras mastered, practiced, and disseminated Ayurveda, eventually teaching it to Indra. Indra then shared this profound knowledge with Rishi Bharadwaj, who further spread it to the world.
